TCSP Outreach
We strive to build a heritage as an inspirational and responsible
public tennis operator
Tennis Center Sand Point (TCSP
is a relatively new facility since it opened only in September
of 2013. As a public facility in Seattle, it is definitely one
of the finest and busiest tennis centers in the Pacific Northwest.
Ten championship indoor courts with a medium paced, acrylic surface,
acommodate a membership of about 3,200 members per year, 23 tennis
professionals (1/3 full time, rest is part time), 4 pro shop
and 12 admin staff.
General Manager Johann Tan is
PTR certified although he never played competitively. He comes
with a background in development anmd construction and happens
to be one of the private partners of the Seattle Parks &
Rec department in this facility. As the builder and co-founder
he calls his role at TCSP "multi-purpose" - managing
the facility and subbing for coaches on the tennis court.
