Wayne Bryan Update June 2015

By Rich Neher

Wayne Bryan - Tennis Dad, Coach, Advocate

Wikipedia states: Wayne Bryan is an American tennis coach, author and speaker. He is the former owner and tennis director of the Cabrillo Racquet Club and father of The Bryan brothers, Bob and Mike, the most successful professional doubles team in tennis history. He is a frequent emcee of tennis charity events and clinics, and was voted World Team Tennis (WTT) coach of the year for three consecutive seasons (2011–2013).

I say: Wayne Bryan is not only one of the most successful tennis coaches in the world, but he is also the biggest advocate in the history of the sport, covering the entire spectrum from grassroots, community adult tennis to high performance junior tennis. Wayne is also the author (with Woody Woodburn) of a great book about junior athletes, especially tennis kids and their development, titled "Raising your child to be a champion in athletics, arts, and academics." Available on Amazon.
